Chamber Music Society
of Fort Worth
The 25th Anniversary Season
“The Beethoven/Brahms Project”
2 0 1 2 - 2 0 1 3 Concert Series

Dear Chamber Music Fan:

There are important changes coming at CMSFW. In response to comments from our regular concert attendees, we have programmed several string quartet concerts this year, and are shifting away from the piano-ensemble format which has dominated our repertoire for the past two decades. Please let us know after a few concerts if you enjoy the changes we are making to give you greater variety in your chamber music experience here in Fort Worth. Come and enjoy "music writ small, for big minds" this year with CMSFW.

John Forestner, President, CMSFW

Welcome to the Internet home of the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth, Texas.

The media has made reference about the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth as “vivid chamber music” and “reverberating greatness” and the “total artistry of the musicians.”

Named one of the Top 10 Performances by the Star-Telegram, the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth is composed of leading chamber musicians primarily from the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The group performs in chamber ensembles of two to five members playing works from the Baroque and Classical, Romantic and Contemporary periods. Always a great musical experience!

“The quartet blended so well that their tones were almost impossible to differentiate. The players were like four lights hushed by the same dimmer switch.”

"One of the top 10 Musical Events of the Year..."

“This was a beautiful musical ballet; their playing flowed like breathing.”

“Sometimes it feels like musicians are meant to play a certain piece, and play it with one another — the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth is just the group to pull these combinations together.”

“Fort Worth’s most elegant New Year’s tradition...”

“A violin-cello duet played to pearly chords from the piano — here was wistful elegance... dark walls of sound and phrases cascading down to end another satisfying afternoon of music-making by performers of grace and eminence.”

“ ...Performed with the precision and clarity that has characterized this organization throughout its history...”
